Hurray, It’s Whisky Month!
While we’re always celebrating whisky along the Malt Whisky Trail, this month is an exciting time for people to come together from all over the world to celebrate Uisge Beatha.
Throughout the month, people all over Scotland and the world are celebrating the month by hosting events and tastings. While some areas have events year round to honour whisky, there are a number of events taking place this month that you should be enjoying.
And there is no better place to find yourself than the heart of Malt Whisky Country visit to explore the world’s only Malt Whisky Trail. Our nine trail destinations offer exceptional tour and tasting opportunities, along with iconic scenery, to give you the ultimate Scotch experience. Why not start off with The Glenlivet Distillery Memory Day sharing the history of the distillery and the people who lived and worked there
From Benromach to The Glenfiddich, or the beautiful Roseisle sea forest to the craggs of Ben Rinnes, there are tastings, tours, and gorgeous landscapes that will satisfy everyone all month long.
Don’t forget, World Whisky Day is 20th May. Even if you haven’t been celebrating the national drink all month long, you can find World Whisky Day events near to commemorate the special day.
And be sure to show your support for Blair Bowman, Whisky Day founder, as he attempts the Great Whisky Distillery Challenge by visiting a record-breaking 60 whisky distilleries across Scotland in one day. During the challenge Blair and his team will be gathering a collection of whiskies to later be raffled off in support of the international water development charity Just a Drop.
