A Different Point of View

Tourist season is in full flow on the Malt Whisky Trail and we’ve invited some of our favourite Grammers to showcase their unique perspective of the whisky region and take over our Instagram channel.

First up was Jacqui Walker, an aspiring photographer whose aim is to showcase the best that Scotland has to offer. Jacqui was able to visit three distilleries during her time with us on the trail – Cardhu, Glen Grant and Strathisla – and she has shared what she captured over on our Instagram. She was fortunate enough to tour distilleries, taste whisky, walk around the lush gardens at Glen Grant and even sample a few cocktails.

Taking over the reigns shortly after was Lauren Mustard, one of the Chivas Regal Brand Ambassador’s based at the Strathisla distillery. As one of the faces of the Chivas brand, Lauren is well connected within the world of whisky and was able to introduce our followers to the people behind your favourite drams. Whilst whisky is made in mash tuns and stills, it is the expertise of many individuals and teams who craft the spirit. If you’re interested in seeing beyond the technology and grandeur of whisky into the spirit of the dram, make sure to take a peek.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll have a few more amazing photographers and insiders tour the rest of the whisky trail, showing you the best that Speyside has to offer – as well as a few facts you may not have known about your favourite brands. For example, did you know that Cardhu was the only distillery to be exclusively built and grown by women? You would if you followed our Instagram
